Alyssa from Spirit Reigns did two separate Reiki sessions- once on me and once on my horse, Rolo. I really didn’t know what to expect, having never experienced Reiki before, but Alyssa made sure to go over everything- the philosophy behind it, the chakras, and what experiences may occur during/after the session. I definitely felt things during it, and so did my horse (his eyelid got heavy and his lower lip wobbled). Interestingly, we were resistant/“more closed” in similar areas! The sensations were dramatic- I felt certain parts of my body keenly, and at one point I either fell completely asleep or was in some kind of deeply relaxed state! I’m someone who tries to maintain a rather protective level of self-control at all times (another similarity with my horse), and I was surprised at how affected I was.
Both my horse and I found Reiki very soothing. For a few days after my session, I felt a sense of euphoria mixed with calm. I slept better after my session, also.

Ruger had a great first reiki session with Alyssa! She recommended scheduling after he completed an acupuncture session, which worked out perfectly. Alyssa was patient in explaining what she was doing and providing a calm and soothing environment to work in. Ruger (a horse with an opinion about everything who loves to fidget) responded very well to her energy and could not have been more peaceful and relaxed by the time she finished with him. The write-up Alyssa provided after his session was helpful in highlighting specific areas where Ruger had some imbalance. I can't wait to see more positive changes in him with future treatments.

Remy, our Bengal cat, had been having issues with his left front paw for many, many months. I made multiple trips to the vet but they could not find any cuts or tears or any other reason for his pain. If you touched that paw, he would flinch and pull his paw back. He did not have that reaction with any other paw. I knew he was in pain but was at a loss as to what could be done. After hearing about Alyssa performing Reiki on people and animals, I scheduled an appointment. She performed Reiki on Remy. You could see how relaxed he was. Since her session, his paw has been fine. I can not explain what transpired but we are very grateful!

It was a pleasure having Alyssa at my barn. She’s friendly, professional and the horses loved her. Alyssa had been very patient and understanding with my sensitive horse. Nugget didn’t stand still at all for the massage and kept circling. Alyssa remained extremely calm and respectful and was able to adapt to my horses needs. Even with her moving around the whole time she still gave her a wonderful massage.
