Parasympathetic Nervous System Response

Horses yawn, lick, chew, and swallow when they release tension or feel emotional relief. It’s a response from their nervous system that allows them to enter a state of relaxation or “rest and digest”. This happens during any bodywork treatment like massage or reiki. Here’s my girl Cori really feeling some good tension relief in her neck.
